THE PROCESS FOR BUYING LOTS AT THE HEIGHTS

We make it simple for you to view, assess and purchase your lot at the Heights. Here is our recommended process, though give us a call, and we’re happy to accomodate your interests:

1. SELECT PROPERTIES OR LOTS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN

The Heights at Eliza’s Retreat in St. Croix offers spectacular views of Christiansted and the turquoise ocean. Because the Heights occupy 2 majestic hills with varying views, we urge you to look at the Lots For Sale page. List the Lot Numbers that you are interested in learning more about.

2. CONTACT US TO GET AS MUCH DETAILED INFORMATION AS YOU NEED

Once you have chosen the Lots that you are interested in, you should contact us for detailed information on each of those properties.

3. SCHEDULE A MEETING BY PHONE OR AT OUR OFFICES

Schedule a meeting by calling our offices either in St. Croix or in Indiana.

4. PREQUALIFICATION CRITERIA

St. Croix is part of the USA, and as such, property owners receive the same protection as in the mainland. It is therefore one of the safest and most secure island land purchases you can make. Also, financing your purchase is very similar to the mainland US. A letter from your bank providing for your borrowing ability is sufficient. This is unless you wish to purchase it outright, and in this case, your bank statement would suffice. We may occasionally offer seller financing options, but please call us for more details.

5. TRAVELING TO ST. CROIX TO VIEW THE LOTS

For potential buyers of the lots, we would like you to see the lots for yourselves, and experience St. Croix. As such, we will arrange travel and accomodations, as well as a tour of the properties and parts of St. Croix. Should you purchase a property, we will completely refund the cost of your travel and accomodations. If you live in St. Croix, or are a frequent visitor, then you may arrange your visit the way you know best. Please contact us for further details.

6. DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO HOLD A LOT

To place a lot on hold while your consider it’s purchase, or during the closing process costs 5% of the value of the property. Once the property is purchased, it is discounted in the purchase price. If the property is not purchased, this 5% is non-refundable. The property will be placed on hold for a period of 30 days, and this may be extended should there be progress on the transaction.

7. BUILDING OPTIONS

From beautiful homes with spectacular views, to wonderful second homes that provide for a retreat, or even investment builds for vacation rentals, there are numerous options for building. Island building is a specialized field with numerous codes that are in place to protect you from weather changes, and to provide you with all the necessary amenities such as water, power and road access.

8. PURCHASING AGREEMENT OR TITLE TRANSFER

Land titles and Purchasing is consistent with the laws across the USA.
